This, divided into 3 servers, is pretty low. Right now the combined player count of both versions are 170.

I used steamcharts to check player counts, although I'm not sure whether or not this is 100% accurate. I hope you guys can find more people to play it with! I would've bought the game instantly if I didn't stumble upon this issue, but it's just not worth the money when you only play against bots.

Thank you for the reply! I play on EU indeed. Hopefully we'll hit the second 100k even faster than the first (and I'm pretty optimistic that we will based on what we're working on)! Please do let us know if you have any ideas for more things we can be doing to help the game grow as there's lots more optimization and new features to be built through Early Access! The community's feedback is a huge part of what makes the game the best it can be, and we're a small team so all of the support goes a really long way to helping it grow faster and faster.

Our biggest goal is just to get as many people playing as possible since we know that's the most fun for everyone, so now the only limitation of the free version is being able to use equip cosmetics you earn, which are totally optional of course. We're hopeful that over time as more free players flow into the game, they'll stick around longer now that they can play with their friends without upgrading. So to solve it, last week we added Discord invites to the game, and those can be used by both free and paid players to party up :).

All players get to play the full game together, but the Steam friends list doesn't work between a paid app and a free app, so we weren't able to support that for free players initially even though we wanted to. So we've been talking to the community about it (especially in our Discord ) and one piece of friction we identified was that free players didn't have as much fun if they couldn't party up with their friends. As of now, an interesting thing we noticed is that there are a lot more concurrent paid players than there are free players. Here's a post I wrote recently about some (but not all) of the new features we're working on for the game, and what we've done so far: interesting thing to note if you're using a site like Steamcharts is that it actually splits the paid version and the free version into separate pages, so if you're looking at the main Super Animal Royale page you won't see the free players included in the number. The community's support so far has been what has allowed it to do as well as it has, so thanks for playing and helping spread the word about the game! Got a really big one coming in mid-June that we hope will help push the game even further :).

#Super animal royale cosmetics update
We do updates at least every 2 weeks (in the past we've even done weekly updates) and we do major ones every 4-8 weeks or so depending on how huge the update is. We're pretty confident we can get EU to catch up on population before too long, and then we'd love to do more regional servers as well! We're working hard to make sure more people find out about the game since the main challenge is really just that we're indie so not as many people know we exist yet but that has been changing quickly! Recently crossed the 100k player mark and more than 55k players have played in the past 30 days. In terms of lower player count, the numbers you're mentioning sound like you're probably in the EU region? The NA and AS servers are pretty well populated at this point, and all 3 keep growing, but we know EU needs to be a priority for marketing so we can make sure it catches up to the others. Hey Skulleater, re-posting and elaborating on this from your other thread.
